Pay Heed, All Who Enter: Beware of the Phog!

The Washington Huskies lost 28-27 to #15 BYU yesterday. However, Washington had an opportunity to tie. The Huskies scored a late TD to make the score 28-27, but the extra point attempt was moved back 15 yards due to an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. The ensuing point attempt was blocked. That penalty was bogus. The QB dove into the end zone with the game on the line. He was very excited. He immediately threw the ball up in the air which is a penalty that refs are watching closely this year. I don't think throwing the ball straight up in the air should be considered excessive celebrating. I know it's the rule, but the ref should have kept the flag in his pocket there.
