The Royals got on the board early and often against Oakland Friday night. KC scored 4 runs in the 1st inning on their way to a 9-2 win. 2 of those came off of a homerun by Emil Brown. Brian Bannister pitched a complete game to pick up his 9th victory of the season. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits. Mark Grudzielanek and Billy Butler drove in 2 runs each.
