#3 Kansas went into hostile territory last night and came away with an ugly victory over a hated rival. The Jayhawks were able to pull out a 76-70 win over the Missouri Tigers who were previously unbeaten on their home court.
KU came out sluggish falling behind 7-1. Brandon Rush struggled with his shooting all night. He connected on only 2-14 shots. KU struggled from the free throw line as a team going 28-45. KU was able to grab a 2-point lead at the half.
KU came out more aggressive in the second half. However, Missouri hung tough and only got down by as much as 8 points. KU was able to knock down pressure free throws at the end of the game to seal the win.
Rush finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Mario Chalmers led KU with 18 points. Darnell Jackson had 13 points and 9 boards. Darrell Arthur had 10 points and 9 boards.
KU is now 18-0 on the season. It's their best start since 1996. KU has won 4 straight against Missouri. KU is now 166-93 all-time versus MU.
KU will host Iowa State on Wednesday night on ESPN.
