Pay Heed, All Who Enter: Beware of the Phog!

MLB All-Star Break

The Kansas City Royals sit dead last in the American League Central. They won their last two games to go into the break with a record of 38-50. The 38 wins at the break is the best they have done since 2003 when they had 51 wins and actually sat in first place. Pitcher Gil Meche will represent the Royals in the MLB All-Star Game tonight. Meche's numbers include a record of 5-6 and an ERA of 3.54.

Here are some stats from the first half of the season. Catcher John Buck leads the Royals with 15 homeruns. David DeJesus leads KC in hits with 101. He also leads in doubles and triples. Mark Teahan leads the club with 43 RBI. Rookie Alex Gordon has 9 stolen bases.
