KU completes a three game sweep of Oklahoma with an 82-80 win in the Big 8 Tournament.

#5 KU completes a three game sweep of Colorado with an 88-55 win in the Big 8 Tournament. KU has won 14 straight games against the Buffaloes. Raef LaFrentz had 22 points and 8 boards. Jacque Vaughn had 12 points and 7 assists. Billy Thomas scored 11 and B.J. Williams added 10 points. Scot Pollard contributed 7 points with 13 boards.

#1 KU beats #16 Iowa State 72-48 in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament. Paul Pierce scored 19. Raef LaFrentz had 16 points and 13 rebounds. Scot Pollard had 13 points and 10 boards. Jacque Vaughn added 13 points.

#3 KU beats Oklahoma 72-58 to win the Big 12 Tournament. Paul Pierce scored 26 points and is named the MVP. Raef LaFrentz had 9 points and 9 boards. T.J. Pugh scored 12. Ryan Robertson and Kenny Gregory both scored 10.
3/8/2002:
#1 KU crushes Colorado 102-73 in the Big 12 Tournament. KU has beaten the Buffaloes 27 straight times. Jeff Boschee scored 21. Drew Gooden and Kirk Hinrich both scored 18. Wayne Simien had 11 points and 10 boards. Jeff Carey had 10 points and 7 boards.

#5 KU beats Texas A&M 72-55 on the road. KU is 28-3 on the season. Mario Chalmers and Darell Arthur each scored 16. Sherron Collins had 13 points and 7 assists. Russell Robinson added 11 points. Brandon Rush scored 10. The win gave KU a share of the Big 12 title. It's their 8th Big 12 title and 51st overall.
