The Royals are now 6-0 against the Tigers this year. They have improved their record to 19-21 and have a season-high 4 game winning streak.

The Royals jumped on the Tigers early with 3 runs in the 1st inning. Billy Butler doubled home 2 runs to start the scoring. Guillen hit a solo shot in the 4th inning which gave KC a 6-1 lead. Gil Meche pitched 7 innings and gave up 3 runs. He earned his 3rd win of the season.

The Royals travel to Florida for a 3-game series with the Marlins this weekend.
