Kansas Owns Oklahoma
#3 Kansas cruised to an easy win over the Oklahoma Sooners last night. KU started the game with a 9-0 run and the rout was on. The Sooners suffered some bad luck when their leading scorer went down with an injury just 5 minutes into the game. He never returned and KU never let up. The final score was 85-55.
Kansas ran their record to 17-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The last time the Jayhawks started this well was 1996. KU is 133-64 all-time versus OU.
Darnell Jackson scored 17 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. Brandon Rush had 16 points, 9 boards and 4 assists. Darrell Arthur had 14 points and 8 boards. Mario Chalmers had 13 points, 5 assists and 3 steals.
KU will travel to Missouri on Saturday to face the Tigers.
